Kapurthala-Taran Taaran road declared as National Highway
A road between Kapurthala and Taran-Taaran has declared a national highway (NH-703 AA). The road connects Kapurthala with Goindwal Sahib.
The road terminates near Taran-Taaran in Punjab and now named as Guru Nanak Dev Ji Marg.
This new highway will be inaugurated next time. The decision of new highway has been taken on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Bangladesh Govt nods to appoint administrators for recovery of dues from top two telecos
The Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar the govt approved the recommendation of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to appoint administrators for Grammenphone (GP) and Robi for recovery of Tk 13,446 crore owed by these companies to the government.
The BTRC conducted two audits in 2016 to calculate the outstanding revenues of the operators.
BTRC claims that GP owes it, Taka, 12,579 crores while Robi owes Taka 867.24 crore.

Flight from Chennai lands at Jaffna as Sirisena inaugurates Lanka’s 3rd international airport
Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena inaugurated the country’s third international airport. The inaugural flight from Chennai is the first to land at the new international airport in Jaffna.
The Jaffna International Airport was earlier known as Palaly airport, which was used as a military airbase.
President Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe formally unveiled a plaque commemorating the inauguration of the airport.

Adani group inks MoU for $ 4 billion chemical venture

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has become the first IPL team with female support staff. RCB has appointed Navnita Gautam as a sports massage therapist.
She will work with head physiotherapist Evan Speechly and strength & conditioning coach Shanker Basu.
Navnita Gautam will introduce specialized techniques to motivate, prepare, overall supervision and to take care of individual physical ailments.

India’s MiG 29 to fly with Eurofighter Typhoon in Oman
The MiG 29 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) will be flying alongside the Eurofighter Typhoon.
The F-16 in India’s bilateral air exercise with Oman which kicked off MiG 29 It is the first occasion that the MiG 29 will participate in an international air exercise outside India. Exercise Eastern Bridge V held at the Air Force Base Masirah in Oman.
The event will take place from October 17-26. The Royal Air Force Oman will fly its UK-made advanced trainer aircraft.
